Home sweet home

Hi again I'm finally back home. My last half day in DC was awesome. I went to the natural history museum and saw Dinosaur's 3d. Then we went to the air and space museum again and saw something called black holes. It was so cool because it was on a dome screen so the screen was completely around the room. Well this will be my last post on the blog. I'm going to miss posting though well anyways. Bye.

museums, museums

Today we went to the spy museum. When I was there I actually felt like a spy. The only bad thing was that you had a secret mission but a water pipeline had broken in the room we were supposed to do it in. We also went to the Smithsonian air and space museum. It was awesome. I took about 1 million pictures(look for them on this blog)and I got to see a lot planes up close and I got to walk through a space shuttle. I also got a shirt that glows in the dark and my friend got two bags of marbles. I also got a few things at the spy museum but there top secret and I cant tell you about them. Well it's my second to last full day in Washington DC and I'm exited and kind of sad to know I'm going home so soon.

Monnuments galore

Today we went to the Lincoln memorial and saw the Washington monument we couldn't get tickets to it because they were all sold out. We also did a lot of interveiws (Im doing a video with my friend about our stay at washington DC). Tomorrow I'm going to the spy museum and a Smithsonian. We are also going to the Washington monument very early in the morning. Hopefully It will be a lot warmer Lately it's been very cold in DC. Well I'll tell you more about the museums tomorrow.

Bye.

Wonderful speech

I went to the inauguration yesterday and saw Obama get sworn in. It was amazing to be in Washington DC and see him give his inspiring speech. I think that he's true, we do have a lot to work on in our country and it's not going to be easy, but I think he'll help this country a lot by getting us out of war and helping our economy change.

I loved the inauguration but there were a few things that weren't so good about getting to it. UGH. First we had to go on a SUPER packed metro train. I am a very clautrophobic person and I didn't have room to breath. People kept trying to step on me and my friend because they couldn't see us and thought it was an empty space. Luckily, then two nice men helped us by letting us go in their foot space in their seats. They also did magic tricks for us and chatted with us for the whole way we were with them. Then, we got off the train and realized that the other train had hit someone and was out was out of business so we had to walk but when we walked there was security blocking everywhere and we had to go back and forth trying to get to the Newseum, where we watched the inauguration.

The Newseum was awesome. They had a lot of touch screens where you could play games on and you got to be a reporter and read off of a teleprompter. We also interviewed at least five people. So far there have been a lot of good things and some bad things on this trip but I know I am really lucky to be here. I know I will remember this trip for a very very long time.

Today we're going to see Washington monuments and go to some awesome museums. I'll report back to you when I'm done.

Bye!

going to D.C.

I'm going to D.C. for the inauguration and I am so excited and nervous to be part of this great historic happening. It's two days before I leave and I am very happy that I get to do this blog about it. It's going to be cold in D.C. so I have to pack my ski stuff so it's going to be very hard to pack. I can't wait to leave (all though I'm NOT looking forward to the long plane flight). Well I'm so excited to blog again when I get to D.C., and I hope you read this blog again.
